Who won &amp; more!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/debbieintheoc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2015\/10\/hero2.jpeg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It was a night of OC decadence, as the cocktails flowed, a bevy of OC\u2019s best bites were devoured and golden foodie statues were up for the taking. <a href=\"goldenfoodieawards.com\" title=\"The Golden Foodie Awards\">The Golden Foodie Awards<\/a> got underway last night at the Fairmont Newport Beach. The show is like OC\u2019s own Oscars\u00ae with the fun of the Golden Globes\u00ae. <\/p>\n<p>Food Network personality Simon Majumdar (pictured in the black hat here) was the spirited 2015 master of ceremonies, and <a href=\"http:\/\/ocmommagazine.com\" title=\"OC Mom Magazine\">OC Mom Magazine<\/a>\u2019s own Pamela Waitt was producer of the Golden Foodie Awards (she\u2019s also the creator and president of the OC Restaurant Association). Pam, below with GG Bistro\u2019s Hande Gundogar. <\/p>\n<p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/debbieintheoc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2015\/10\/preparty.JPG\" width=\"475\" height=\"475\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\nNow Pam would never toot her own horn, so let me just do it for her\u2014the night was a wild culinary success. My husband and I had a divine time; we hit the red carpet, found the jokes wry, the food fabulous and the \u2018Simon Says\u2019 videos hilarious. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/debbieintheoc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2015\/10\/GFAS.png\" width=\"475\" height=\"573\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\nIf you ever get a chance to attend the award show, definitely do so. You\u2019ll see many of OC\u2019s top culinary talents and get an idea of just how many foodies there are in Orange County. You\u2019ll also learn about new hot spots to put on your foodie radar. <\/p>\n<p>The luxe afterparty is also a worthy reason to go, as the event went from day to night, and the scene transformed from chill to chic with casino flair.<\/p>\n<p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/debbieintheoc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2015\/10\/night.JPG\" width=\"475\" height=\"475\" \/><\/p>\n<p>So how were the winners selected? Local foodies voted for their favorites during the \u201cGolden Dine Out\u201d and he\/she with the most votes won.
