I appreciate the artistic expression of Gaga’s perfomance, but admit to being a little weirded out by the gore. I was blown away by Beyonce—what an amazing package!

As part of the original Moon Man gen with Kurt Loder, MJ, and the video that killed the radio star, I had to watch the freak show, I mean VMAs on MTV. I decided to tune in after I “heard” the East Coast tweets about the crazy Kanye rant, the Lady Gaga attire and Pink double outfit.
Yeah, it was quite a show. I thought Kanye was rude. Beyonce was amazing (damn, that girl has almost robotic crazy moves). Sorry, I didn’t get the Pink Cirque-like sing. The Gaga outfits and art, really what can you say? Loved Madonna’s opening. And thought Janet’s performance was daring and perfect.
How about you? Do you still tune in for the awards? For the shock value, the talent, to know what the kids are talking about?
Rock on MTV, for staying on the radar after all these years. And yeah, I’ll probably tune in again next year, for a little of all of the above.

Right with ya on both. I gotta read up on Gaga and maybe I’ll get her more someday. Like her music, and hey, it’s working for her.
want to say hi and comment on kanye. i forgive him because his apology struck me as genuine. but my conspiradar went up after hearing how perfect the outburst was for leno’s first show. seems plausible it was as set-up as the baron/eminem one. just my 2 cents. and hi! it was great meeting you wednesday.
HI ya Lisa! Convenient timing, yea. And not sure all has hurt him, heard Seacrest playing him on 102.7 today. Guess we’ll see at next award show. My conspiradar will be up too.
Wow, Beyonce, what planet are those moves from? She just continues to blow me away with her talent. Yep, I’m from the same MTV generation you mentioned, and I keep getting sucked into the awards shows. But they’re harmless fun. I’ll be back for more next year.
Hey Kathy, remember Nina Blackwood? LOL. I’ll be back too.

Everyday I hope to be a little more like my yellow lab, Teddy. He loves everything, everybody, and is only occasionally stressed by escalators.
