St. Patty Limerick

March 17, 2009

There was a Young Lady stuck in the rat race,

Who was anxiously waiting to find a better place;

So she willed herself to get laid off,

Then counted her lucky stars while some scoffed,

PLM is now the Young Lady’s happier space.

Thanks Sandy! I know layoffs are bad for many, these days particularly, but sometimes they are a blessing in disguise or in plain sight. Here’s to more luck for all of us

Hi Debbie,

We met at the BlogCrush meet up at the Spectrum in May (I worked for the Marine Corps). I just now have had a minute to stop by your blog and saw this post and I had to comment.

This is a really great reminder that although I do want to go back to work doing what I love, this forced time off because of a layoff, is the perfect time to focus on my first love which is writing. Thanks for the reminder!
