Seriously?! It's January.

I know we’re all so lucky to live in sunny SoCal, and I should be all smiles, but come on, it’s January! Enough of the sun already. I want Storm Watch ‘09. I’m ready, I’m waiting, I want to be the Smart Mama who always knows just what to tell her kids to wear in the morning. I don’t have a clue lately. My 5-yr old style diva keeps pleading with me to let her wear her “back shirts” in the morning. I tell her she’s crazy; it’s January! Then I pick her up from school, it’s 87 degrees and I get the kid lecture that I knew was coming: “Mom, I really should have worn my back shirt. I was soooo (dramatic pause) hot!” I secretly roll my eyes, knowing she’s right. I want to be right. I want some rain.
