Melody Gardot. She’s soulful, jazzy and amazingly talented.

Many classify her as jazz; she says she’s more blues-pop. Her latest album “My One and Only Thrill,” is a must-listen and perfect to unwind with anytime. It also makes for great, swank cocktail dinner parties if you happen to be throwing any (in your spare time).

Gardot is a soulful gal and claims music as her saving grace. Almost paralyzed from the waist-down at 19, the victim of a hit and run, she was ready to give up. Her doctor prescribed music—her love before the accident. She found hope and purpose and the music is said to have reconnected her nerve bridges. Talk about alternative medicine.
