First Look at Opening Night

PLM got a press preview of the new Summer Nightastic scene at Disneyland. It’s a kid’s dream with bright-light magic, imagination and stellar music.

The night play by play: Mitchel Musso from Hannah Montana had the tweens screaming and my 6-year old seeing stars at Tomorrowland Terrace that invites kids to rock out nightly with bands, DJS and dancers.

Later, Wizards’ Selena Gomez kicked off the new fireworks show with Mickey. “Magical” wowed with 13 minutes of spark and awe set to grand Disney score as Tink and Dumbo flew around the castle (my girl melted, making wishes on endless shooting stars).

Next, Fantasmic danced on water with new HD projections, friendly faces, villains, plus fire heat and water showers that made you feel a part of it all.

And finally, Tink ended the night leading the Electrical Parade, which shined with 500,000 bulbs and new neon friends.

Here’s a video peek at the first sparks from Summer Nightastic fireworks. Commentary through the eyes of my five-year old ... the giddy, beside-her-self scream, the kid comedy, magic of wishing and the blur between fantasy and reality. At Disney, who really knows?
