Save Face

Save Face

December 03, 2009

Meet OC’s best facepainter. A kid’s favorite. A parent’s dream. A party saver.

I’m gonna gush on Kari Ivey ‘cause I love her that much. Seriously, she is amazing and can make your kid’s party. The crazy thing about Kari is she just kind of blends into the background, does her kid magic and presto little Picasso kids emerge—all painted up and jazzed to show off their new looks.

Kari does sparkly, spooky, sweet, whatever the child wants. Sometimes she’ll match an outfit or go with a theme, anything goes really. And her attitude with the kids is great. Hey, it could be a little hard to handle 30 kids hovering for their time in the limelight, but she is no stress and all talent.

If you’re even thinking of hiring some everyday, ordinary facepainter, you might want to rethink it, and call Kari. Her detail and creativity is amazing. And your party parents really appreciate seeing their kids so thrilled and painted perfectly.

Oh and her paints rock: FDA friendly, of course, cosmetic-grade paints for theater makeup and face and body painting. All of which means they don’t crack like the cheapo stuff.

So if you have a birthday party or holiday bash, Kari’s your gal. And she’s always in demand for corporate events where a facepainter can add some fun and energy to a gig.
That goes for kids painting to adult costume parties to sports events.

Okay, I’m done gushing. But when the gush fits, I’m there, because every parent knows the stress of a kid’s party. And I’m all for anything that gives Mom more peace of mind (and artistic expression).

Here’s my very quick look (as in :30) at Kari in action:
