Family Theater Hits OCPAC

Strega Nona and the upcoming series at the Family Series at the OCPAC.

Strega Nona is the story of a good witch, the premiere of the ’09-’10 Family Series and the first of six children’s books that will be brought to life at the Orange County Performing Arts Center. It’s an energetic musical of a witch who tries to cure the ills of her Italian town. (Illustrations from the book below.)

My girl is jazzed for tonight as her costume this year is yes, black hat, dress, broom. (Is it just me, or are witches so the rage right now with the kids? Right on to OCPAC and thier perfect Halloween timing.)

OCPAC tells me tickets are very limited for Strega Nona due to the popularity and that the Sunday 3pm show is your best chance to score tickets. Tickets are $18 and are available at OCPAC.org, at the Center’s Box Office at 600 Town Center Drive in Costa Mesa or by calling 714.556.2787.

By the way, the show will include free pre-performance activities (coloring, games and puzzles and a reading area) one before the show.

If you miss Strega Nona, here are other upcoming performances at OCPA, perfect to immerse your kids in the arts: (psst, the OCPAC is a gorgeous venue and makes for great Date Day or Night with the Kiddos)
